SAP BTP - one stop shop for all technology needs.
We are using HANA cloud to store some of our ERP transactional data & product quality testing data. We do some data modelling and finally use Fiori apps for business users to consume the data. the app is primarily used to generate quality certificates for the products shipped from our plants to customers.

BTP Review
We have started to use BTP for IAG implementation it allows us to map external users and GRC functions to applications that reside on the cloud. SAP BTP also allows us at Applied Materials to leverage connections to various systems that extract data to build applications outside of ABAP code.

We are developing BTP apps for our clients to address common issues around risk and controls, SOD, access control. As these apps are in the early stages, we are stil lvery much learning about how to use SAP Build. However, we are ramping up quickly and excited not only about those BTP apps but also the ability to monitor BTP access through IAG.

SAP really is making huge steps! This is coming from my 18+ years of working with SAP.
We use it for * SAP Build * SAP Cloud ALM * SAP Process Automation * SAP Workzone * SAP Identity Access Services * SAP Multibank Connectivity * SAP integration Suite + Event Mesh We are moving from Oracle EBS to S/4HANA PCE. We have a large amount of to-be-integrated products (SuccessFactors, Ariba, OpenText Document Management for SF and VIM, and 30+ non-SAP IT products). The Integration Suite is really good, and compared to the competitors, it is really surprising to see how the pricing works. Even the out-of-the-box connection capabilities are unreal.
- Authentication options - In the past, we needed to really leverage our own solutions for MFA and other security measures, but now, out-of-the-box these options are really good and readily available.
- Ease of use - the interface has been adjusted to be really easy on the eyes but also simpler, less convoluted, and really well thought out.
- Modernized SAP experience - compared to the old stuff, SAP is really modernizing all of the experiences. The new house style is rejuvenated, and the company is really becoming more likable compared to 10 years ago!
- SAP Discovery and Missions are a real treat to see what the upcoming costs are!
- The experience can sometimes be a little disorganized - products do not always give the same experience.
- The whole Neo and Cloud Foundry situation is unclear still - don't offer neo anymore.
- The BTP cockpit is not easy to understand and requires improved documentation - if that can be made simpler, it would be good.
- BTP Global Accounts and Sub-accounts and Folders.. can be confusing, a bit more guidance and simplification around it would be great.

BTP Feedback
We have used BTP/Cloud Platform since 2018 and have deployed our Carrier Portal on it connected to our backend SAP TM system. We started with the Portal Service on it, and since then have used many more services on BTP like Alert Management, Build Workzone, Event Mesh, etc. Most recently, we have deployed HANA Spatial Services on BTP for our geocoding service.

- Provides services that we need like geocoding service out of the box.
- Leverage new technology areas like Build Process Automation, etc.
- Build accelerators that can speed up deploying new subaccounts and services.
- Need a clear guidance on landscape management strategies that we should use for building our global account/sub account structures, etc.
- Need clarity on CPEA credit consumption and some capability to manage credits and services. We also need some guidance on BTP governance model and best practices around managing usage and credits.
